On October 19, 2016, a group of youngsters committed ritual murder in Tbilisi on 76-year-old Luba Kochiashvili. One of the detainees is the victim’s 18-year-old adopted daughter. The others are her boyfriend and three other friends. All were detained in November, 2016. During the investigation, the boyfriend said he ate some of the woman's internal organs. This ritual murder and cannibalistic act was one of the most scandalous criminal cases in Georgia in recent years.

Former husband, 30-year Giorgi Dolidze, killed 28-year-old Nino Kilasonia.  After killing, he committed suicide.

The murder happened on the night of January 27, 2016 in the Varketili district of Tbilisi.

The victim was 16 years old when she was originally kidnapped by her husband and forced to marry him. Their marriage lasted 11 years. The victim was often beaten and scared.

Ekaterine Qavtaradze, a 36-year-old woman was working at the kitchen of a Tbilisi hotel On June 6, when her husband with a criminal past, 37-year-old Beso Odishelidze, called her and asked her to meet him outside her workplace, she was shot by him in the abdomen area and died later during surgery at the University Clinic.

On December 9, 2016 Elene Shiukashvili, 29, was killed by her husband at her father’s house. The incident happened in Tsinandali village in Telavi district in the Kakheti region of Georgia.

The woman died after being shot in the head during an argument between the two. He shot her in the head with a hunting rifle and then attempted to commit suicide. The woman died immediately, killer died after two weeks.

On October 2, 2014 in the village of Dvabzu in the Ozurgeti region of Georgia, 40-year-old Temur Ramishvili killed his wife Natalia Bezhanishvili with an axe because of jealousy.
The young woman died immediately. After the killing, he lit their house on fire, then sat down and waited for the police. Neighbor Sopho Rusieshvili told Guria TV she asked him what he had done "He answered: 'I cut her. I am killing her now. I don’t make her happy.”

According to neighbor Ketavan Khidisheli, “I never heard about violence in their family. Natalia did not say even a word. If she had said he was an abuser, this would not have happened. Other neighbors are surprised, too.”
But the day after the crime, neighbor Amiran Rusieshvili told Guria TV that the couple always had problems and the police came many times.

A 20-year-old girl was killed by a bullet from her stepfather’s gun. He then killed himself.
The young girl Ana Papashvili was a typical student living and studying in Tbilisi. She studied business administration at Ilia State University and worked part-time worker at a Smart Supermarket.
On April 27, 2014, when Ana visited her stepfather on Tsereteli Avenue in Tbilisi, as one shot from the man’s gun killed her immediately on the scene. Ana was found dead by her friend just minutes after the accident happened and he was the one who called the police.

Her 78-year-old stepfather, realizing that he killed her, shot himself in head.

35-year-old Nelly Sonidze was killed by her husband. She suffered a knife wound to the throat and could not be saved.
On April 13, 2016, in a compact settlement of refugees in the Varketeli district of Tbilisi, April of 2016, in the third array of Varketili, Eldarstreet, in compact settlement of refugees, Sandro Ghviniashvili killed his wife. She died at the scene. Police arrested him at the scene under article 108 article -- premeditated murder. He confessed and was jailed for 10 years.
According to the investigation, the motive was jealousy. The 42-year-old Ghviniashvili was convicted three times earlier on hooliganism charges after fights with other men.
Sandro and Nelly were married five years.

Eliza Gelashvili, 58, was raped and killed by a stranger in Kakheti region town of Sighnaghi on May 4, 2016. Gelashvili had just left work and at the station for a bus to Tsnori. Two men arrived by car and offered her a ride. After that, Gelashvili disappeared.

According to the Telavi district court verdict, investigators found that the men who took Gelashvili's life were drunk. One man, identified as Mamuka Nadirashvili, raped her and then brutally killed her. She was hit by a stone and then run over by the car.
