On march 19, 2015, Lali Baliashvili (27) was killed by her alleged admirer Giorgi (Gogita ) Gelashvili (36) .They were working together as Specialists at the Military Recording and Recruiting service center of Sighnaghi Municipality. After killing her Gelashvili went to his friend’s house and committed suicide with the same gun at the stabling.

“If you leave me, I will damage your face so that people will recognize your voice, but will look at you with loathing.”

Iuri Chakhvashvili used to say to his wife Natela (Dilari) Jikhurashvili at the beginning of their marriage, 50 years ago.

Jiqurashvili, 68, was brutally killed by Chakhvashvili, 73, on October 18, 2014 in Darcheti village, Kakheti region.

He stabbed her in the throat and neck.

19-year-old Salome Jorbenadze was killed by her ex-husband in the public park on Aghmashenebeli Street in Zestaphoni, Georgia on July 25, 2014. Satseradze, 25, a Zestaphoni regional police officer, shot her with a service gun. According to eyewitnesses, Satseradze and Jorbenadze were having conversation and then Satseradze fired five shots at her.

“I deserve the sentence but it should be just," Satseradze said. "Being a policeman and media coverage about violence on women aggravated my sentence. I’ve never violated my ex-wife physically. It was not a premeditated murder and I love her till today.”

On July 29, 2012, a woman walking past a park on Moskovi Avenue in Tbilisi heard the sound of a cellphone. It was ringing again and again near the badly beaten body of Jhujhuna Inashvili, 28, who had been killed by her ex-husband.

Lasha Mipchuani, 33 committed the murder. He beat his ex-wife and then smashed her head with a stone. Mipchuani went home, and after his mother asked about blood spots on his trousers, he told her what he did. His two daughters heard him say it and went into shock.
