Aunt Murdered When She Wouldn't Sell Land On December 15, 2018, Basdi Mammadova, 66, was found dead at her home in Kirovka village in Marneuli municipality, where she lived with her nephew Nijat Mammadov, 32, since his childhood.
Her dead body was found by Nijat's father and other relatives, covered by a carpet in the basement. Four days after the crime, Nijat Mammadov disappeared. But when he realized he would be caught, he went to Marneuli police and confessed.
Miranda (Tatia) Vacheishvili, a 39-year-old mother of four, was strangled with a lead wire by her ex-husband on April 25, 2017. After a one-day search, woman was found dead in a house belonging to her father-in-law.
According to the court file, 42-year-old Giorgi Janashvili killed her because of jealousy. The police arrested him in the entrance to a building in the fourth micro district of Gldani.
In August, the Tbilisi City Court sentenced Giorgi Janishvili to 11 years in prison for murder.
On 17th of October night 2018, In kvareli, village Shilda, 24 years old Eka Nakevkhrishvili was founded at home, naked and hanged. Prosecutor’s initiated of proceedings under the law of leading to suicide. Exact condition of death is unknown. Investigation is still going on. When Eka was found, she had some scars on her body, that cause suspicions that she was killed and her body was hanged after.
Manuchar Zazadze, 35, stabbed his 27-year-old wife Teona Beridze 15 times in the belly. She died on the spot.
The murder took place at 1 am. Their two boys, ages 8 and 5, were sleepy.
The main witness was Tea Beridze, the victim's sister. Teona had said to her sister: "Tonight my husband will not be home. I'm afraid to stay alone with the children. Stay with me."
But Zazadze returned from Borjomi around midnight and he was drunk. He said to his wife: "Let's go to the kitchen and drink beer."
Ana Natsvlishvili, 20, was found brutally murdered on February 22 near her family flat in Tbilisi's Temka district, 3 Shatili Street. She left home that early morning at 5 am dressed in pajamas after receiving a phone call. She told nobody who she went to meet or where. Family and friends assume that she wouldn’t leave home at that hour without knowing the person she was meeting very well.
Out in the fields of Bodorna, 43 km away from Tbilisi, where the farmers grow corn, grasslands are covered with white cows and shepherds herd livestock till the twilight, one day this nature fell into the haunted silence and a lone acacia became an “eyewitness” to a tragedy. Nino Javakhishvili is a woman murder victim and her husband G. Lotikashvili is the main suspect. He ended his life by suicide.
On October 30, 2016, in the village of Qabala, a four-hour drive from Azerbaijan's capital city of Baku, Sabina Verdiyeva was killed in her house. Her husband -- Khayal Verdiyev -- was arrested for the murder several hours later.
According to Sabina’s neighbors and relatives, she was known as a serious and silent girl in the small Kurd district part of Qabala.
“When Sabina was 19, she thought that she should marry someone," said her mother Sevda Jabbarova. "Because in the village, if you are over 18, you should marry. My daughter was not caring about love. Sabina always said that she wanted a family who could take care of her and her future kids.”
An Uzbek girl was killed by two men hired by Nargizbegim Rakhmanova, a 29-year-old Uzbek woman, in Beshumi, on May 23, 2013.
Rakhmanova tricked five Uzbek women by promising them a high salary job in Turkey.
