The femicide happened in Rustavi on March 6, 2014.
An ex-husband’s anger and jealousy, several months after divorce, ended fatally.
Oleg Shubitidze, 51, stabbed his wife, Bella Dzamsashvili, 37, multiple times.
Then he tried to help her.
He called police and ambulance, and waited for them instead of trying to escape.
He was arrested at the crime scene.
Dzamsashvili died in the hospital.
On October 30, 2016, in the village of Qabala, a four-hour drive from Azerbaijan's capital city of Baku, Sabina Verdiyeva was killed in her house. Her husband -- Khayal Verdiyev -- was arrested for the murder several hours later.
According to Sabina’s neighbors and relatives, she was known as a serious and silent girl in the small Kurd district part of Qabala.
“When Sabina was 19, she thought that she should marry someone," said her mother Sevda Jabbarova. "Because in the village, if you are over 18, you should marry. My daughter was not caring about love. Sabina always said that she wanted a family who could take care of her and her future kids.”

An emergency brigade took Maka Tsivtsivadze to Republican hospital, but her condition was poor and doctors could not manage to save her life. According to the Republican Hospital resuscitation department head Nicholas Kvachadze, death was caused by brain injuries incompatible with life. “There were multiple gunshot wounds. Based on the test results, there were life-threatening wounds. The patient was taken to the operating area, but because of the difficult situation the operation couldn’t be held,” said Kvachadze.
“I told her several times, but she never listened to me,” says Halima, the mother of Gunay Isayeva, 20, who was killed by her husband in July 2016 in Ponichala settlement in Tbilisi.
For her, the tragic ending for her beloved child could have been predicted on the day she became the wife of Novruz Novrasov.
Novruz cut his wife's throat while she was sleeping in her father`s house. He sneaked into her room on the afternoon of July 13 and easily committed the crime. The victim`s brother was sleeping in the next room and her grandmother was watching TV. According to her brother, she went outside holding the wounded throat which caused her death several minutes later.
After the crime, Novrasov went to the local police office and confessed. Later he was sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment.
Ekaterine Qavtaradze, a 36-year-old woman was working at the kitchen of a Tbilisi hotel On June 6, when her husband with a criminal past, 37-year-old Beso Odishelidze, called her and asked her to meet him outside her workplace, she was shot by him in the abdomen area and died later during surgery at the University Clinic.
On December 9, 2016 Elene Shiukashvili, 29, was killed by her husband at her father’s house. The incident happened in Tsinandali village in Telavi district in the Kakheti region of Georgia.
The woman died after being shot in the head during an argument between the two. He shot her in the head with a hunting rifle and then attempted to commit suicide. The woman died immediately, killer died after two weeks.
On October 2, 2014 in the village of Dvabzu in the Ozurgeti region of Georgia, 40-year-old Temur Ramishvili killed his wife Natalia Bezhanishvili with an axe because of jealousy.
The young woman died immediately. After the killing, he lit their house on fire, then sat down and waited for the police. Neighbor Sopho Rusieshvili told Guria TV she asked him what he had done "He answered: 'I cut her. I am killing her now. I don’t make her happy.”
According to neighbor Ketavan Khidisheli, “I never heard about violence in their family. Natalia did not say even a word. If she had said he was an abuser, this would not have happened. Other neighbors are surprised, too.”
But the day after the crime, neighbor Amiran Rusieshvili told Guria TV that the couple always had problems and the police came many times.
35-year-old Nelly Sonidze was killed by her husband. She suffered a knife wound to the throat and could not be saved.
